You are an elderly person, and you like to dream about longevity?

You must read this

You
showed interest in science, but you always hated abstract scientific papers?

You must read this

You are a student, and you want to know what the future might hold in store for you?

You must read this book

I'm Fritz F. Reichert, author of Dangerous Voyage to Alpha Centauri. In this novel you find scientific visions of our next 50 years.

"Fritz, you boast of seeing into the future! Look, people from the weather-service can't tell me about the weather next day!
Nobody knows, who will be the next President of the United States!
And you pretend to forecast what will be in 50 years? Who are you? I guess you are a cheater!"

You are wrong, my friend! You and I, we all could check the WEB to find out, what scientists are working on. What I learned in doing so fascinated me so much that I wrote novels about their work. In the near future we will learn more about:

Longevity
Genetic engineering will solve the problem of aging. Pharmaceutical industry will draw immense profits of making people live longer and healthier. Another thread for mankind will arise in overpopulation.

Nanotechnology
This technology is regarded to change our lives still more than communication technology did in the past.

Energy
We all suffer from rising prices for gas as a result of decreasing resources in oil. By 2045 electrical power will be available by fusion of hydrogen and by solar power satellites.

Globalization
Ever more production is done outside our country. Capital is transferred within minutes from one region of the world to another one, where higher profits can be gained.

Even more you learn in this novel about
Alpha Centauri, our sun's neighboring solar system
Dwarf Stars, red and brown ones
Settlements under the Moon's surface
Supernova, the death of a giant star
and
Asteroids which come close to Earth. For more, click on ASTEROIDS

My book Dangerous Voyage to Alpha Centauri explores how science in this century will prove to be the most constructive, and destructive, force around us. We'll have to deal with the problems it creates for years to come unless we understand its powers for creation and destruction.
Dangerous Voyage to Alpha Centauri gives a chilling portrait of what our world could come to in the not-too-distant future if we don't start thinking about our actions and the potential repercussions now.

About the book
Dangerous Voyage to Alpha Centauri: A Scientific Vision of Our Next 50 Years:

In the year 2044, scientists have revealed new advances to extend the longevity of human life. Within the next years the world's population explodes by more than one billion people each year.Though millions live already deep under the moon's surface, it becomes necessary to search for planets outside our solar system.

Tim Turner, a teacher and scientist, tackles this mission by traveling to the sun's next star, Alpha Centauri. The isolation of his task drives him to the edge of lunacy, but what he discovers could prevent the human race from destroying itself. When Turner returns to Earth thirty-six years later, he comes back to an unthinkable situation. What has happened during his absence - and what has become of the two women he loves most?

A tantalizing mix of science fiction and love story, Dangerous Voyage to Alpha Centauri poses a fascinating question: Could this plot become a reality for the Earth and its residents in the not-so-distant future?
